Last year heritage students were astounded to learn that Falcon Fouls were going to be introduced to the regular school system. Falcon Fouls came into play so the students would be disciplined. Falcon fouls are given for minor infractions; such as, being unprepared for class, out of dress code, having food/gum in class, etc. If you get 4 falcon fouls you are given a 25 min detention.
Lots of students had taken some time to get use to the falcon foul disciplinary system. And although it has improved heritage's daily routine, some students feel as though the falcon fouls are unfair. One anonymous heritage student said, "sometimes falcon fouls can be annoying and downright unfair, but it does help some heritage students honestly improve."
The falcon foul topic has been discussed many times. The majority of the students feel as though the fouls are a nuisance and should be taken away, one student said "it's crazy, students who are well behaved and are overall good students are getting detentions from falcon fouls". Other students say the Falcons fouls should stay because they discipline their unruly peers who need help in academics. One heritage student said "I think the fouls should stay, other people say the fouls are unfair but if you are sincere and you follow the rules you shouldn't get any. The fouls help the students who have behavioral issues stay in line and try their best. For example, kids who don't do their homework get falcon fouls; if they do their homework they won't get one
My Narrative
By: Gabrielle Mota
One of my best memories was when my cat gave birth to a litter of five kittens. I was so happy, sad and excited at the same time. I didn't know when she was going to have the kittens so I was always really anxious and tense when it came to Candy. I knew it was going to be really painful so I was always on watch to make sure when she did have her kittens she would be as comfortable as possible. When her water broke It was around 10:00 on a Saturday. I was woken up because at the time she was sleeping on top of me.
I was so scared, I kind of panicked I wasn't sure whether to totally freak out and call 911 or crumble down and cry in a corner. It didn't seem like was in a lot of pain at first she just had the annoyed cat look on her face, her nose was scrunched up and she squinted her eyes. Soon afterwards candy started to huff and meow which I took as a sign that the pain had increased, she kept on trying to move around and get into a better position. She would drag herself around; stop, and wait for me to pull her back into her position from before. It took around 13 minutes for my mom and I to start to see the top of the first kitten and I was in a phase the entire time. I wouldn't let anyone into my room during the birth except my mom and whenever I tried to leave the room my cat would try to follow me so me had to ask my little sister to go and get warm wet towels for us.
My cat would scream a lot from time to time and then the kitten came out. At first, I thought the kitten was dead and I was two seconds away from hyperventilating, but then my cat turned to lick it. It was like magic it suddenly started to let out hoarse little meows, she took her time and licked it all overMy cat lay down to rest for a bit and then turned to start licking the coating off of her baby and eat the placenta (it was really nasty but super cool at the same time). The kitty started to cry and mew but my cat started to go into labor again so I took the baby cleaned it a bit better and then put him back. The baby was white with a bit of grey. When the birth was done my cat gave birth to 4 other healthy kittens. 2 full grey one and 2 orange ones.
